Networking Should Be a Key Component of Every Job Search Strategy
Posted On Tuesday, October 13 2009 at 03:25 PM
Effective job searches don't just happen - they require planning and execution. One of the key components of any effective job search is networking: on-line networking, in-person networking and social networking. All are critical to shortening your job search and landing YOUR ideal role. 80-90% of all jobs landed today are through networking. It is WHO you know and then WHAT you know that matters.
Leverage LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter and other on-line networking tools but research, locate and join professional networking organizations and events as part of an active campaign to promote your name and face positively. Take time for career development, attend training that will benefit your career goal and network for work as you're meeting new people.
